2021 Annual School Supply Drive at Ravenswood Chiropractic & Wellness Center
August 1, 2021 - October 1, 2021
Ravenswood Chiropractic & Wellness Center in Chicago is a proud 2021 School Supply Drive location for Cradles to Crayons. We will be collecting school supplies for children from August 1st through October 1st during our regular business hours. Our goal is to collect enough supplies for 40 children. We ask that donated supplies be new and packaged. If you cannot donate any of the supplies, we also appreciate any support you can provide. No donation is too small. All of the donations we receive will be given to Cradles to Crayons.
Cradles to Crayons is a non-profit organization that distributes free school supplies and other necessities to children in need. According to their website, “The average U.S. family in poverty, with two adults and two children, lives on less than $26,500 a year” and “1 in 2 children in Chicago live in low income and homeless situations.” Most government safety net programs only support food, housing, and energy needs. Cradles to Crayons seeks to have “clothing insecurity” formally recognized as well. Their mission is to “provide children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essentials they need to thrive”. While most school supplies are distributed in August, their program runs all year long!
As a thank you, every donator’s name will be entered in our raffle for a chance to win a FREE 60-Minute Relaxation Massage. The raffle winner will be contacted by email, so make sure to include us in your whitelist!
Donation is easy and contactless – the donation box is located just inside our door. Just buzz suite 105 – we are the first door on your left. Bring a business card or write your name and contact information on a slip of paper to be entered into the drawing (located next to the donation box).
