Description
In the United States, direct costs for back related medical conditions increased 67% since 1997 to $86 billion.1 Though the costs have risen, the burden back pain and neck pain place on society has not lessened. Psychosocial, occupational, genetic, nutritional, and biomechanical factors have all been associated with back pain. By making changes in one's lifestyle to modify risk factors and promote spinal health, back pain may be prevented. To help guide you towards maintaining a healthy spine, Dr. Kenneth Weber will be presenting "Staying pain free: Advanced strategies to maintain a healthy spine" the third part of The Chicago Back School public lecture series on Saturday, April 17th, 2010 at 2:00 PM.
During this session, Dr. Kenneth Weber, a Chiropractic Physician at Ravenswood Chiropractic & Wellness Center, will explain how an anti-inflammatory diet, stress management, and physical activity can help promote spinal health and prevent back pain.
The session will end with an interactive workshop reviewing concepts from the previous sessions and then instruction on advanced spinal stabilization excercises.
